New Hampshire Championships Regatta 2007

The New Hampshire Championships Regatta 2007, hosted by the Amoskeag Rowing Club, was held on The Merrimack River October 13, 2007. The Amoskeag Rowing Club (ARC) promotes rowing in their community by fostering the creation of affiliated local high school and college teams including Manchester Central High School Crew, Concord High School Crew, The Derryfield School Crew and Southern New Hampshire University Crew. The ARC is a non-profit organization, founded in 1982.

My sister in law, Cheryl, rows for Community Rowing. She and her club had great success during the regatta. Located on the Charles River, an internationally recognized attraction for rowing and a gem within the Massachusetts park system, CRI was the first public rowing club in Boston and remains one of the largest in the United States. CRI is committed to its mission of enriching the greater community and provides broad based programs for youth and adults, novice to elite skill levels. Since its inception twenty years ago, CRI has provided education and training for over 15,000 people.

Mocko Head Of The Charles Regatta 2006 mbies (Stilt Walkers)
The Head of the Charles Regatta is the world's largest two-day rowing event. The first race took place October 16, 1965. In its 42-year history, the race has grown into a 62-event regatta which draws over 300,000 fans and over 8,000 athletes from 600 universities, schools and clubs. Athletes travel from 15 different countries to compete.
